Stoke Gabriel Art Group
Welcome to the Stoke Gabriel Website, where you can find information about our weekly Thursday morning workshops in the Stoke Gabriel Village Hall and demonstrations on the first Tuesday of the month. Visitors are always welcome (see Events Calendar page). Twice a year we have a social evening, one in April and one in November. Our socials are a convivial get together and fun for members and guests alike. New or prospective members are always welcome and can come to an evening demonstration or a Thursday morning workshop to find out more about the group. Our Membership Secretary, Jackie Tucker will be happy to provide information about joining the Group.

Stoke Gabriel Art Group was founded in 1960. Hugh Goodson of Waddeton Court, who at the time was President of Devon Art Society, along with his wife and other enthusiastic artists from the village including Nancy Sargent-Thomas (headmistress of the local Primary School), Cooney O‘Callaghan, Keith Peterson, Mrs Gilmore and Ron Dugmore came together to promote the ‘joys of art‘.
